APPLICATION FOR SCHOLARS/GUEST LECTURERS

To apply for participating in the selection for the CLE Master's Course with an Erasmus Mundus scholarship (N.B. The Erasmus Mundus scholarships will be available only under the first call). A second call for application without scholarships is scheduled from 1/04 to 10/06/2017 and some financial contributions could be awarded on the basis of the funds available.

The application for the Erasmus Mundus CLE is open to students coming from program and partner countries.

The following application guidelines are intended to help students to prepare a competitive application for our program. Please read them carefully.

In order to apply for the Erasmus Mundus CLE, the candidate must follow a two step procedure:

Both steps are mandatory.

1. ONLINE APPLICATION

Candidates can apply for the Erasmus Mundus CLE via the CLE online application form.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

All documents required have to be uploaded on the application website.
They may be produced in
English, Italian, French or Greek.
Only PDF, Word/Doc and JPEG files will be accepted.
Every single file and further supporting documents have to be renamed as following: « Family Name » « First Name » - « Type of document » (e.g. SMITHMarc-CV).

1. Online application form duly filled in, signed and dated (printed at the end of the online application process).
2. Proof of the place of residence: a residence certificate or a certificate from the candidate’s place of work/study or training, stating the residence at the time of the application
3.
Copy of a valid passport or national ID card (ID card is accepted for EU citizens ONLY).
4. Full curriculum vitae ("CV Europass template").
5. Copy of the original diplomas indicating the final level obtained. In case the student has not yet obtained the degree at the time of the application, and he is in the last year of study, a document issued by his University of origin stating the estimated date to obtain the degree has to be produced instead of the diploma. All selected candidates must obtain their first cycle degree by July 31, 2017. If students do not graduate within the due specified dates, the application will be cancelled.
6. Transcript of records during the bachelor phase.
7. Motivation letter (explaining the background of the candidate and the reasons for applying to the CLE Master’s programme).
8. Two letters of recommendation* written by academics/researchers who have participated in the candidate’s academic training.
They must be:
- written on a headed paper of the University concerned
and
- signed by the referee
All letters of recommendation without a headed paper and not signed will not be considered and the application will be incomplete.
9. Documents giving evidence of the student’s level of proficiency in the required languages (e.g. diploma or university exams or language certificates or declaration written by a university professor competent in the subject stating the student language level).
Students are required to have a minimum B1 level in English and the language of the entrance University.
The language proficiency could be assessed on the basis of a Skype interview. The candidate will be contacted by the CLE by e-mail to fix an appointment and s/he is required to reply within seven (7) days from the receipt of the message. Failure to reply in time or no reply will imply the rejection of the application. The Skype interview does not replace the documents proving the language level.

2. POSTAL SUBMISSION

The signed and dated application form (printed at the end of the on-line application process) along with all documents required has to be sent as registered letter with a return receipt before the deadline (as per postmark) to the following address:

INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND APPLICATIONS SENT AFTER THE DEADLINE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED

FOR SELECTED STUDENTS ONLY

All selected students will be asked to provide us with:
a) the original University diploma indicating the final grade;
b) the transcript of records (all courses attended).
Documents a) and b) have to be authenticated and translated by one of the following authorities: the Italian, French, Greek or Senegalese Embassy or Consulate;

c) a declaration of the Italian (Dichiarazione di Valore), French, Greek or Senegalese Embassy/Consulate stating that the diploma issued by the University of origin corresponds to at least a three-year academic diploma.
The Consulate or Embassy must be chosen on the basis of the Entrance University (e.g. first year University of Bologna = Embassy or Consulate of Italy / first year Université de Haute-Alsace or Université de Strasbourg = Embassy or Consulate of France / first year Aristoteleion Panepistimion Thessaloniki = Embassy or Consulate of Greece/ first year Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar= Embassy or Consulate of Senegal).

Students who have not yet obtained the degree are accepted conditionally and they are expected to obtain their first cycle degree by July 31, 2017. If students do not graduate within the due specified dates, the application will be cancelled.

Pay attention: if the documents do not reach the CLE by September 1, 2017, the student will be excluded from the Master Course.
